Which fishing rod should I use

My partner wants to take up fishing. We're not sure which fishing rod we should buy or use. He wants to sit at the pier where he works, and hopefully catch such fish as Mackeral and Sea Bass.He'd be sitting down.

Depends on his budget. You could get something from walmart that will work or you get a calstar, seeker, or other high end rod.
