I am a new crappie fisher l have had a question some wat like this but no one told me on how to fish the jig help plez! Thanks

Jigging is suppose to mimic a wounded minnow. You simply cast it out(if the water ai not froze) & let it sink, jerk the rod tip, & let it sink, jerk the rod tip, then reel in some, then do it over & over until u found the right speed. Do not worry, u will find it. If you're ice fishing then, just let the line down the hole & do the rod tip, reel it up, jerk rod tip, reel up. Repeat over & over until u catch some Crappie. You will eventually get the hang of it & be catching crappie in no time.

u got the best answer already. let me add my 2 cents.start off with a smaller jig especially when the water is cold. if you're not fishing too deep, use a small float above the jig. let it just sit there & the ripples in the water will give it action. then retrieve very slowly. if u have a minnow on a jighead, u do not need to move it at all as long as it is among the crappies. keep ur knot tight on the jig eye where it will sit horizontally at rest. & the most important item is to save me some of those fillets.
