l was at Wal-Mart two days ago, spending a gift-card that my dad gave me for christmas. Me and my buddy were looking around buying stuff and he said ''come on man, hurry up!'' because, he had to go home and get dressed for work. l had to hurry fast and l saw a beetle spin. l ripped it off the rack and took off. l did not get to see the size or color till l got home. It was a 1/4 oz Black with green stripes. l was planning on using it in a creek for panfish. Is the lure too big for bluegill? if it is, what fish can l catch with it? Also, what size is best for bluegill?
l am moving but, is not Cordell Hull in Tennessee? l think this may be a different lake I am talking about. The one I am moving to is in Winchester.

use it in cordell hull for the smallmouth. you did say you're moving there? it should be okay for some big 'gills but l would personally use a smaller one. actually l do not use beetle spins. l just do not have the time to use EVERYTHING!

It should work, but maybe a 1/8 would be better. You could use it for Bass, and Crappie too. l like to use Worden Rooster Tail lures (black ones are my favorite) for all pan-fish, and bass.

Your 1/4 oz beetle spin will catch blue gill (bigger ones) but a 1/8 oz. would be best.

The beetle spin is an all around good lure which will catch u many different fish. Bass love them, as do pike, walleye & even muskie.

Try different colors. Also, if the water in ur creek is murky/muddy (low visibility) then work ur beetle spin slowly & try different colors - although the green stripes on ur black beetle should be visible.

You say you're moving to Winchester? If that happens to be Winchester, Virginia, contact me and l will show you where to fish. That is where l am. This time of year, cold weather, I'd use that thing for bass fishing. However, to keep the blade turning you'd probably end up fishing too fast. You could fish it as a jig without the blade or you could try bouncing it off the bottom, bringing it up 8-10 feet and then letting it drop to bottom again.
